The AICA Cashew Convention is the platform for meeting with all stakeholders in India cashew value chain. The platform over the medium term aims to achieve the following objective.
Develop and execute a plan, in consultation with government of India, for increasing exports of cashew kernels and other value-added products from India.
Engage with stakeholders from government, NGO and industry to increase raw cashew production in India through modernisation of existing farms, bringing new area under cashews and enhancing income level of cashew farmers.
Develop and execute a plan for generic promotion of cashew kernels in India
To streamline and formalise trade and trade practises in raw cashews and cashew kernels through consultation, standardisation of contracts, liaison with government and private sector and other measures.
Encourage technology solution providers to innovate new technologies for processing, value-addition of cashews
Identify and execute scientific and clinic research on the beneficial effects of cashew consumption on man, woman and child.
The AICA Cashew Convention will be held during the month of July / August every year. The AICA Cashew Convention is a joint initiative of All India Cashew Association and Cashewinformation.com
